Room
Tax Committee opting to fund the $142,000 construction of a parking lot...
A proposal from Portage County Youth Soccer drew the largest sum, with the
committee opting to fund the $142,000 construction of a parking lot, lights and
fencing for a facility in 2007 and put $25,000 toward a grandstand in 2009. One
member remarked the project "epitomized the room tax fund," due in
part to the likelihood that tournaments will provide sizable revenue sources.
