The PCYS PLAYER DEVELOPMENT Program was formed to provide high-level training to benefit and
enhance the development of players at all levels; to identify a pool of players
in each age group from which a team will be selected for league and tournament
play; and, through the use of carefully selected and licensed coaches, develop a
mechanism for the exchange of ideas and curriculum to improve all levels of
coaching.

PCYS
is a not-for-profit organization that receives no funding from the county or
city. PCYS relies solely on
registration fees, family club fees, tournament fees and corporate sponsorships
to pay for all expenses. The
registration fee and family club fee must be paid by May 1 to make sure your
child will be assigned to a team. All
team assignments will be made in May.
VOLUNTEERS:
If you are
interested in helping with the recreational league, please leave a message on
the PCYS hotline at 715-344-3299 or contact Paula Bell allsoccer@excite.com.

Volunteers
- PCYS is entirely
run by volunteers. Without people
willing to volunteer, PCYS would not exist. There are dedicated people who have
volunteered many hours to the PCYS soccer organization so your family can enjoy
the game of soccer. This year PCYS
is asking a parent from each family to volunteer at least 2 hours.
The PCYS Board created ten committees to make it easier for people to
volunteer their time to areas in which they are interested.
Information on the ten committees is listed on this website.
Please take the time to review the
information and indicate on the registration form the areas for which you can
help.
If you are unable
to afford the registration fee, soccer “scholarships” are available through
CAP Services. Contact Karen Danczyk
at 343-7100.

The Recreational League:
Definition
A developmental program providing healthy activity, emphasizing enjoyment and
development over competition.
- A program that allows kids to
have fun, make mistakes, and learn
- For the player age U5-U19 who
is primarily interested in fun, fitness and friendship
- Able to play within own
community
- Philosophy is striving to give
every participant substantial playing time
The
rec league consists of developmental teams, which are comprised of players not selected by a tryout process. Teams are generally
formed within defined age groups and the
league is comprised of co-ed teams (ages 5-18) and all girl teams (ages 7-13). Emphasis is on participation by all players
